Tashi Delek (Greeting in Tibetan) བཀྲིས་བདེ་ལེགས་

My name is Tseten. I am a Tibetan Tour Guide in Lhasa since 2006. I was born and raised in Lhasa in a very traditional family. My upbringing taught me a great about Tibetan Culture, tradition, and religion. I am always pleased to do share my understanding of the Tibetan world to any international travellers.

Over a decade of experience in working as the tour guide in Tibet. I now have hundreds of friends from every corner of this world.

With my expertise in Tibet tourism, I have also helped my husband to establish a Tibetan travel agency in Lhasa called I-Tibet Travel and Tours. Now he runs with his brothers under the umbrella of Tibet Universal Travel. My tour guide license is registered under the same agency. You can read his blog: nomadictibet.com

This website is intended to keep in touch with my friends all over the globe and to share my understanding of my world on the roof of the world.

We choose Lama Mani Tours for the Name of the site.

Lama Mani are the Tibetan wanderers, wandering around the Tibetan plateau with the role of the painting of the Buddha image called Thangka. Whenever they would reach a human settlement, they would preach the teaching of Buddhism with the help of the visual representation of the Buddha’s Image on Thangka. Lama Mani’s are often a very highly realise masters

Lama Mani is also Tibetan Name for dragonfly. The body of a dragonfly clearly resembles the figure of high Lama sitting on thrown. Check our logo design.

As Lama Mani is a transmitter of Tibetan wisdom in history. Nowadays Tour guides and Travel companies now are in the moral duty of conveying Tibetan wisdom to International travellers from around the globe. This is why we choose the Name Lama Mani Tours for this blog.

From time to time, I will be posting a post on Tibet, Tibetan culture, and travel guides. I hope you will find those useful.

My husband and I were beyond pleased with our 10-day tour of Tibet with iTibet Travel. Tenzin is an excellent communicator who crafted a perfect itinerary for our group of three. Tenzin was genuine, helpful, trustworthy, honest, and took all of our unique needs and interests into account. Our trip was well planned and went off without a hitch! Traveling in Tibet is an adventure but Tenzin, along with our fantastic guide Tsetan, and our driver, Passong, made it an exceptional trip. I can’t say enough about Tsetan, a smart, warm and charming lady who taught us so much about Tibet. You will warm to her immediately and leave Tibet with a dear friend (plus she takes GREAT photos and shares them!). Her expert judgment and Passong’s flexibility got us to Everest in awesome, clear weather (a group before us was unable to see the great peak due to cloudy weather and we were looking at similar circumstances). She and Tenzin rearranged our tour and accommodations so we could have a splendid, perfect time seeing Mt. Everest, the essential part of our overland trip. Tsetan and Passong were fun, accommodating and the perfect travel companions (not to mention they understand the importance of good car snacks). I often get car sick, but not on this trip! Passong is a safe, conscientious driver who would stop and let us enjoy different viewpoints and stops; and believe you me, those roads up and down the mountain passes are dizzying! Our group of three was very comfortable on the road with these great people. I experienced altitude sickness overnight at the Rongpu Guest House. Thankfully, iTibet Travel keeps oxygen and first aid kits in their vans; Tsetan made sure I was quickly on the mend. I strongly recommend iTibet Travel for an overland tour of Tibet. Experiencing Tibetan culture, Buddhist monasteries and temples, and completing the overland journey to Mt. Everest was an unbelievable experience thanks to Tenzin, Tsetan, and Passong. They delivered an authentic and extraordinary tour for a VERY reasonable price. You get the true, local perspective and exceptional quality with iTibet.
